This year we welcome a newcomer to June in Olde ‘Burg. Amnesia Lane takes the stage Friday night from 6:30 to 9:00. This band, originally formed in 2005, plays a mix of tunes mainly from the 70s & 80s, with a few older classics and newer tunes mixed in. Join Bobby Horton, Andy Parker, Jason Peter, Charlie Moreno, Nate Lynch and Lauren Peter as they start our full entertainment schedule with some excellent tunes.
The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars are back for the third year in a row, taking the stage from 9:00 to midnight on Friday. Their mix of bluegrass and folk will get you moving! Sit back and enjoy as you listen to the sound that won them the Cincinnati Enquirer Cammy award three years running. Add to that CityBeat’s Cincinnati Entertainment Award for “Best Bluegrass/Folk Band” in 2001, 2002 and 2004. What else can you say about the best bluegrass band in the Tri-State? Enjoy!
THEY ARE BACK!! Saturday, from 2:00 to 4:00, we welcome back Systems Go, the popular music ensemble from the Air Force Band of Flight! They have recently returned from entertaining the troops in Iraq and are coming to June in Olde Williamsburgh. Come and enjoy popular songs from the 70’s and 80’s!
Also new to June in Olde Williamsburgh this year is Sidewinder, playing Saturday from 4:00 to 6:30. Formed about 10 years ago by Bill Rein, the current band has been together for about 4 years playing good southern “outlaw” rock music by bands like Lynard Skynard, Blackfoot, Waylon Jennings and more. Mix in a little Jimmy Hendrix and some great original tunes, and we have an excellent act for Saturday night festivities!
Aleatory is back for year three, taking the stage from 7:00 to 10:00 on Saturday night again this year. You’ll hear classic rock tunes from one of the area’s premier classic rock bands! Always enjoyable, the solid sounds that come from this band will make for a great Saturday night.
Don’t leave after the fireworks! This year’s closer is Stagger Lee. Although no introduction is needed for this band, here’s a little info. Formed in 1981 by Bobby Joe Mueller and named for the famous Lloyd Price song, Stagger Lee does country rock with a soulful edge, blending blues and percussion for a sound that will bring a rockin’ end to our Saturday night lineup.
