June in Olde Williamsburgh

A message from the 2016 Festival Committee

Well the rain may have put a damper on the 2016 June In Olde Williamsburgh festivities but it didn't stop those who braved the elements from having fun. Friday night was off to a great start with a terrific parade, scholarship presentation, and some terrific live music from Systems Go - Air Force Band, follwed by Gangbox.  Saturday’s festivities kicked off early with our 5k/10k Run for the Funds race where we had 115 participants. Our free KidsFest event featured a Juggler which was a huge success.  The Williamsburg High School Jazz Band started our live music Saturday evening followed by a slight rain delay before Chuck Brisben and Cold Tuna took the stage for our final musical act.  The Fireworks were some of the BEST in recent years and capped off our Saturday night. Our Car Show Sunday had 49 participants and much fun was had by all.  We had to rush our judges and awards with the threat of rain late afternoon but we were able to see those beautiful cars.   The Committee would like to thank everyone who sponsored, participated and volunteered for another successful Festival this year, marking the 20th year for the event.   Know that we are already hard at work for next year with the 2017 scheduled dates of June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.   If you are interested in volunteering on our committee, please call Traci Hurst at 513-724-2624.
